Nuwanthie Samarakone

Nuwanthie SamarakoneWhether you think of yourself as young or old you’ll know how rapidly the employment landscape is changing. Even young-ish employers can seem to live in a different world to those new to the workforce.

Our July speaker is an expert in the early & emerging talent landscape; Nuwanthie Samarakone will guide us through the patterns, trends and challenges facing the tech sector today and in the future. Her presentation will focus on building a company culture for graduates and other new employees, plus practical steps for talent development in your organisation.

Join us to hear how employers who proactively support, coach and mentor talent will find they have the skill sets they need, when they’re needed.

Nuwanthe will also cover:

  • Should you buy or build the talent you need?
  • Dos and Don’ts for young hires and their bosses.
  • What competencies do managers need to lead people when they themselves have been promoted for their technical competency?

Students Attend at Member’s Rate
Do you know a young person about to enter the workforce? Bring them along and they will only pay the discounted members rate (one student per full/member rate paying attendee).

Nuwanthie Samarakone is passionate about the early and emerging talent landscape. She is the Founder and CEO at ICE Professionals.ICE works with organisations to map out their strategic early talent pathways, and also provide an integrated approach to attraction, selection, assessments, reporting & metrics and development services for talent and organisations.
