Doing Digital Responsibly
December 10, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
It’s the end of the year! Its a chance to pause, grab the complimentary drink, and reflect on all the good work that’s been done. But are we doing good? With an increasing stream of news about the negative impact on people and society from digital technology, are we making the world a better place?
We are delighted to have Aaron Hodder as our guest speaker for our last event of the year. Aaron will be presenting a series of thought-provoking stories where software development has had unintended consequences, and will also look into the approaches we can take to mitigate any blindspots we may have.
Aaron is a regular speaker at local and international conferences on software testing, collaboration, and minimising digital harm. He is also the co-founder of the WeTest workshops, and a senior consultant with Assurity. Aaron is passionate about how software affects humanity, those of us creating it, and those who use it.
Don’t miss this chance to hear from a leading expert in this fascinating area of digital responsibility, as well as enjoy a delicious two-course meal and wine tasting. The evening is a great opportunity to network with influential and supportive members of Auckland’s software community.
And just because it’s Christmas, we will include a free glass of bubbly cheer to welcome everyone on the night! So book your ticket now as we expect this to be a popular event, block out your calendar and we will see you on the night.
