NZSA Annual General Meeting – Online
April 12, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
FreeThe Annual General Meeting for the New Zealand Software Association will be held online at 5.30pm on Tuesday 14th April. For health and safety reasons, we will not be hosting an in-person meeting.
All current NZSA members are invited to attend. As per the update provided to members last week, all memberships in place as of 1st June 2020 have had their memberships renewed at no cost. This was to preserve memberships while the NZSA was unable to provide member benefits.
At the AGM the President, Roger Ford, will provide his report and go through the financial accounts since the last AGM in 2020. The AGM will include the election of the Executive for the upcoming period.
Notice of Motion to Wind Up the NZSA
At the AGM in 2020 a presentation was made to the members on the challenges facing the continuing operation of the NZSA. It was proposed to the members that they consider winding up the NZSA or propose other options. The clear conclusion after considering all the comments and feedback is that the NZSA should proceed to a motion to wind up the NZSA.
Background details for this motion were circulated in the President Update dated 4th March 2022. Requests for further information regarding this motion should be emailed to the President at president@nzsa.org.nz.
Call for Notices of Motion
NZSA members are invited to submit notices of motion for inclusion in the AGM agenda. Notices of Motion should be emailed to the President at president@nzsa.org.nz by 12pm on Tuesday 5th April.
Call for nominations for the election of the Executive
The NZSA is governed by the Executive, which must comprise between six to eight members. The current Executive now calls for nomination of members who wish to be candidates for election to the Executive. The election of the Executive will be by ballot in accordance with the Association’s Constitution.
All candidates should email their nomination and a brief profile to the President at president@nzsa.org.nz by 12pm on Tuesday 5th April.
