Purpose and Profit – Growing a Social Enterprise

Christina Bellis is a purveyor of values-based business models. For 15 years she’s worked for social enterprises, both in New Zealand and in Canada, who put purpose and profit side by side, using business models that support a triple bottom line approach: social; environmental; and financial. She’s currently a trustee on two charitable trusts, and while deeply fond of classic bicycles, she has recently joined the e-bike brigade, often with her dog Aiko in tow.

Christina is currently the CEO of Thankyou Payroll, a SaaS business that’s disrupting the traditional sector of payroll and taxes with their holistic thinking and generosity approach to doing business. Thankyou Payroll aims to be the leading experts on payroll issues, social enterprise and business based philanthropy in New Zealand. On top of being passionate about tech, they stand for environmental action, excellent internal culture, consistent improvement and great customer service, all while operating as a financially sustainable, profit generating business.
