Frances Valintine is an education leader focused on the disruption of education and the future needs of students, industry and the economy.
Her business is The Mind Lab by Unitec, a public-private partnership focused on teaching students and teachers digital and collaborative technologies, and contemporary learning approaches. Prior to setting up The Mind Lab, Frances was the Chief Executive of Media Design School. She recently won the ‘Engaging Youth in ICT’ award at the New Zealand CIO Awards and the ‘Best Start Up’ in Asia Pacific as judged by Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak. Frances is a board member of Education NZ and she sits on the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s Small Business Development Group.
She will be presenting “Talent 2025. Preparing our Youth for Tomorrow’s World” for our NZSA September event.
